Listening to He Treads on Cloud Paper finally answers the question of what would have happened to DAF when the money ran out and they decided to make a living writing elevator music for obscure Russian department stores.  Parker's work has hints of Nyman, shards of Glass, and the faintest traces of Einsturzende Neubauten - but is all Westgate. Easy listening for the tired or trippy. He weaves phrases and motifs delicately around simple repetitive beats to create hypnotic mood music that you can't quite dance to.
